When I was in elementary school, my teachers all thought I was destined to become an author (or so the story goes). When I took the ACT for the first time out of curiosity in 7th grade, I scored a 34 on the English section (That’s out of 36 and that’s 98th percentile). When I started teaching through the TRIO Veterans Upward Bound program at the Metropolitan State University in Denver, I started with the English class and got adult students through the Accuplacer and on to succeed in college. My point is that English skills, standardized test skills, and math skills all go hand in hand for success in academics.
Let me know how I can help you rock a standardized test that’s standing in your way or confidently compose your thoughts in writing.
